Vendors can now take advantage of a selection of furnishings,
accessories and art to accentuate the architectural qualities of
their property whilst giving artists some exposure. Even properties
that are already furnished often benefit from a well placed work
of art.
Inspired by the Kapiti Arts Trail Marianne Tavenier thought it
would be interesting to give open homes, traditionally held for
properties on the market on a Sunday afternoon, a new dimension.
As well as local people moving within the area, many Wellingtonians
are buying property on the Kapiti Coast and regularly visit open
homes. This new dimension gives us an opportunity to exhibit the
talent and creativity of artists in our culturally rich and diverse
community whilst giving us an opportunity to accentuate the architectural
qualities of a property through placement of art and crafts.

Blair Hungerford
I am relatively experimental with my ideas and processes in my work. My
work is primarily abstract. My practice moves between pared back minimalism
and work incorporating retro patterns, and 1960’s colours
using Op Art and Pop Art visual language.

Interior Design Service
We have an ‘in house’ interior designer who, when
you buy your new home, can work with you to design an interior
that will suit your lifestyle, current furnishings, room characteristics
and budget. They can design your whole interior, kitchen and bathroom
layout.
If you would like to sell your property but feel it could do with
a cosmetic make over before putting it on the market or would like
some assistance with updating your look an interior designer can
come into your home and help you select colour schemes and paint;
recommend light fixtures; give advice on curtains and blinds; furnishings
and accessories; plant and flower arrangements and any other details
that would make a difference to the selling price.
Trades
If you have bathroom fixtures, floor treatments or windows that
need fixing we can recommend trades people to do the work for you.
If you have a larger project we are also able to put you in touch
with project managers who can ensure that the project runs smoothly,
to budget and schedule, as well as ensuring a finish that will
be both professional and immaculate.
